Acre in Action

Freebase is putting the finishing touches on Acre, which will allow data-driven applications to be quickly developed and hosted at freebaseapps.com

FMDB is a good example of a typical use-case:

Acre and the recent UI improvements have solidified Freebase in my eyes as a definitively better alternative to even the best Semantic Mediawiki examples - like Food Finds.

Sure, it’s the Facebook of the data web. But with standard names like ‘Dublin Core’, the data web needs leadership.

With the G-unit release shaping up to be a disappointment, I’m once again excited about imminent knowledge graph developments.
